Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus

My go to juice bar in Dallas prepares and sells the most delicious fresh salads, soups and dips.  My favorite dish/dip is a trio of hummus.  Two of the dips are tasty but one in particular is out of this world.  

One evening at home, I was really craving this hummus and so I decided to play around and see if I could duplicate it.  Well guess what?! This recipe is spot on!!!!  Spicy, delicious and healthy too!!!

Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus


2 (15 oz) cans organic garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

2 large jalapeños, chopped and seeded
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 cups roughly chopped cilantro

1/4 cup EVOO
1/4 cup of fresh lemon or lime juice

Sea salt to taste



Place all ingredients in a food processor.  Blend until smooth and serve with veggies and your favorite healthy cracker.

Side Notes:  

This recipe will keep in the fridge for up to a week but you will probably eat it before then because its sooo good! And of course the recipe tastes better after storing overnight!
